Medieval city-building survival game
Castle Craft is a premium action game for PC developed by Twin Earth. It's a survival city builder adventure during Medieval times wherein players will defend their castle from otherworldly threats coming to invade their lands. They will need to put up strong defenses and fight alongside their troops to defeat waves of enemies.
Comparable to games like Unrailed! or Cube World, Castle Craft takes place in massive worlds featuring voxel-style graphics that offer a distinct retro vibe to the experience. A demo version is also available to newcomers who want to get a preview of the gameplay.
Castles and wave defense
In Castle Craft, you are tasked by your king to build the grandest and strongest castle in this sandbox city-building adventure. You have full creative control of what to create and how to construct it as you see fit. Having an established economy and a population full of artisans to help automate the building process so that you can focus on design and placement.
However, our kingdom is constantly being invaded by monsters coming from mysterious rifts. You must also put up proper defenses, which include putting up castle fortifications, adding siege weapons, and training troops to fight incoming waves of enemies. Equip various weapons, join the fray, and wield magic spells that let you transform the landscape and gain an advantage in battle.
What's more, everything takes place in a vast voxel world with highly destructible environments and objects that add a sense of chaos and volatility to the gameplay experience. One thing to keep in mind is that Castle Craft is still in Early Access. Hence, the game is not complete yet, and development is still ongoing, with more changes and fixes to come.
Chaotic fun
All in all, Castle Craft offers a compelling experience that combines creative city-building with tactical wave defense combat action. Think of the best way to defend against ever-challenging waves as you build your castle bigger and bigger. Hopefully, the full version of the game will be released soon. Even in its current incomplete state, though, it's well worth checking out.
